In November, I began an inventory of my cardboard pieces, and also painted some studio furniture. This shelving unit used to be dark blue. I could barely wait for it to dry before displaying some of the small sculptures. I often stage mini exhibitions in my studio.

Because I use corrugated cardboard boxes so much in my artwork, I was thinking about the color of un-dyed corrugated cardboard, which is made from unbleached wood fibers. While the natural colors of corrugated cardboard do differ, someone has given Cardboard Brown its own hex code # BB8E51. The equivalent RGB values are (187, 142, 81), which means it is composed of 46% red, 35% green and 20% blue. The CMYK color codes, used in printers, are C:0 M:24 Y:57 K:27. In the HSV/HSB scale, Cardboard Brown has a hue of 35°, 57% saturation and a brightness value of 73%.
